Ingredients
1 Stalk of brussel sprouts, about 3 cups, cut in half
1/4 lb. of bacon, cut into lardons
1/2 Cup Balsamic Vinegar
Instructions
1. Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees
2.Trim the bottom off of each brussel sprout then cut the brussel sprout in half
3. Cut a 1/4 lb. of bacon into lardons (small pieces)
4. Place the Balsamic Vinegar in a small sauce pan over medium heat, reduce it to a glaze
5. Toss the cut brussel sprouts in olive oil, salt & pepper
6. Arrange oiled brussel sprout halves on a baking tray covered with parchment paper, cut side up
7. Place the bacon lardons on the parchment paper between the brussel sprout halves
8. Bake bacon and brussel sprouts until the bacon is crispy and the edges of brussel sprouts are golden brown
9. Remove from oven, put contents (bacon dripping too – yum!) into serving bowl, drizzle glaze over mixture and toss
10. Serve hot with remaining glaze
